GPSS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

GPSS Senator Social: The GPSS Senators Social has been scheduled for February 28 (Friday) from 6:30-7:30PM at the University Club, featuring both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, along with food. All senators (and graduate students serving on one of the GPSS committees or commissions) are invited to join us for an evening of fun and networking! This event will replace the previously announced "Committees/Commissions Reception." 2. The Graduate Student Spring Resource Fair: The fair will take place Wednesday, February 5, 3-4:40pm, GLC Multipurpose Room. The Graduate Student Spring Resource Fair is an opportunity for new and returning students to learn about resources and services offered to them as Virginia Tech students. Dozens of university groups will be present including student experience, career development, transportation, graduate services, and more. Come and learn about resources that can help you succeed in Graduate School. Refreshments and snacks will be provided!

3. GPSS Graduate Student Research Symposium Call for Abstracts: Join us for the 41st Annual GPSS Research Symposium! Students from all disciplines are invited to join and showcase their research. We also invite any interested students to attend and learn more about research being done by students and professionals across the university! The theme of this year's symposium is "Future of Research: Empowerment, Innovation, and Education." The symposium will take place on March 26th. Projects can be fully completed and analyzed, proposed studies, or research-in-progress. Students have the opportunity to present a poster, a symposium presentation, or a flash talk!
