Subject: Mask reminders for the NVC

Hello all,

The university's mask policy is unchanged from the start of the semester, and masks are required when in any public space inside the building.  This includes common areas like classrooms, kitchens, elevator lobbies, bathrooms, the community cafe, or the 2nd floor lounge in T-2.

Because we have multi-purpose spaces, exceptions are made when one is actively eating in spaces like the cafe.  But the expectation is that as soon as you are done eating, the mask goes back on.

We've had several reports of unmasked people playing ping-pong in the cafe.  Just to be completely clear, this is not allowed.  Please be sure to convey this message to the students in your programs.

Thanks for your attention to this important public health concern.  COVID cases appear to be in decline in many areas; let's keep up the good work and continue that trend.

-Kenneth
