The seminar will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2018. This will be the 31st session in a seminar series sponsored by the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) on “Science, Intelligence and Security.” As with previous sessions, the seminar will be held at the Virginia Tech Research Center, 900 North Glebe Road, Arlington, Virginia. Parking is available in the basement of the building. The building is walking distance from the "Ballston/MU" station on the Orange/Silver Line. Garrett’s published Raven Rock: The Story of the U.S. Government's Secret Plan to Save Itself in 2017. Before assuming his position at the Aspen Institute, Garrett had, among other positions, been editor of the Washingtonian and of POLITICO Magazine. He writes regularly for WIRED, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, and other publications. We expect Garrett to speak for about 30 minutes and then take questions for another 45 minutes. He will be available for an informal discussion after his presentation, which is strictly off-the-record and not for attribution. Please submit your online RSVP if you wish to attend. We look forward to seeing you at the seminar. Jason Matheny, IARPA Director, and Richard Danzig, Seminar Moderator
