UPDATE: Equipment that is required to perform your job can be left out
until the evening of March 27th. By the morning of March 28th,
everything has to be packed and ready for the movers that day; no
exceptions.
All personal items and equipment not needed for that week should still
be boxed and ready by March 20th.
ALL TRASH should be bagged and taken out to the dumpster in the parking
lot. Do not trash papers that include student information, grades, PI
information.
CONFIDENTIAL papers are to be taken to 1110 conference room to be shred.
BOOKS and MAGAZINES that you no longer wish to keep should be taken to
the downstairs library, room 1143, for removal.

INSTRUCTIONS for the move to Gilbert Street:
FACULTY OFFICES: EVERYTHING _except_ monitors will need to be packed
in the provided boxes. Please separate personal items and electronic
items into their own boxes.
The boxes and monitors should
be left in your office so they can be labeled for their destination at
Gilbert Street. PACK YOUR PHONE with the other electronic items.
If you have equipment that is
IN YOUR OFFICE that is too big to fit in one of the provided boxes,
leave it in your office and we will label it along with your monitors.
GRADUATE STUDENT DESKS: EVERYTHING _except _monitors will need
to be packed in the provided boxes. Students _WILL NEED_ to clearly
label their box and monitor(s) with their last
name AND advisors name; be sure this is legibly written. EXAMPLE:
GILL/GULZAR.
If a
student has equipment that is too large to fit in one of the provided
boxes, label it the same as the monitor(s).
BOXES for personal items and electronic items going to Gilbert Street
are located downstairs in the black lab.
TRASH BAGS are located in the 1110 conference room.; more are coming.
BOXES for you to place _confidential papers that must be shred _are
labeled in the 1110 conference room.
Now is the time to PURGE! A dumpster will be provided soon for
_NON-CONFIDENTIAL_ papers and other trash to be discarded. Heavy duty
trash bags will also be provided during the clean-out phase.
Student exams, quizzes, tests and term papers must be retained for one
year after the end of that semester. If you have items like this _older
than one year_, please stack take the papers and place in the marked
boxes in the 1110 conference room. _You will have to go through the
papers _so that we are in compliance with what must be kept.
BOOKS: All books that you no longer wish to keep can be taken to the
"library", room 1143, and stacked on the table or in the 1110 conference
room for pick-up.
EVERYTHING must be packed and ready _NO LATER than MARCH 20th! _After
that date, if items are not boxed as instructed, it will be considered
trash and disposed of.
